The unit is
supplied with a stable base of cast iron. Both vertical column and
compound table are of treated, high quality aluminum. All axes are
play-free and have adjustable slides. The headstock, made of die-cast
aluminum, houses the 24 pole balanced special motor and provides
stability even at high operating speeds. This stability facilitates the
use of the finest cutters. Six triple slit, hardened MICROMOT steel
collets come with the machine and cover shank sizes of 1/32", 1/16",
5/64", 3/32", 7/64" and 1/8" (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.35, 3.0, 3.2 mm). The
table is fitted with three T-slots of 15/32" x 15/64" x 15/64" (12 x 6
x 6 mm). An adjustable ruler scale eases the positioning of the work
piece. All hand wheels are zero adjustable with 1 revolution = 3/64"
(1.0 mm), 1 division = .002" (0.05 mm).

38128 - Drill Press TBM 115
Competent drilling of micro holes down to even 1/64" (0.5 mm). The unit offers a high quality machined table of ribbed die-cast aluminum (work table size 8-1/2" x 4-3/4" (220 x 120 mm) providing an adjustable parallel fence with scale. The solid, hard-chromed steel column is 13-25/64" high (340 mm) and has a diameter of 4/5" (20 mm).

The powerful
motor, which runs very quiet and has a long life expectancy is built
into the super stable die-cast head of the machine. The power
transmission by 3-step aluminum pulleys and flat belt provides 3
spindle speeds of 1800, 4700 and 8500 rpm allowing triple torque at
lower speeds. The chrome feed lever has a practical adjustable drilling
depth gauge.
The spindle is essentially free of play as a result of the 3 high
quality ball bearing assemblies. For the insertion of MICROMOT steel
collets it is recessed, but also threaded for attaching drill chucks
with 3/8" thread (for this option see below the Roehm drill chuck,
which we offer as an accessory). The spindle has an extremely high
rotational accuracy and a 1-3/16" (30 mm) feed. The quill diameter is
1-1/4" (32 mm) with return spring, the throat depth (column to drill
spindle) is 5-1/2" (140 mm). The unit provides quick coarse height
adjustment of the headstock via clamp lever. The max. height (worktable
surface to spindle end) is 5-1/2" (140 mm).
The unit comes with six triple slit MICROMOT precision steel collets
for shaft sizes ranging from 1/32", 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 7/64" and 1/8"
(1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0, 3.2 mm).
To clamp work pieces we recommend using either our Machine Vise
MS 4 or the Micro Compound
Table KT 70 (both available below) to convert this machine
into
a
high precision machining center.

28132 - Machine Vise MS 4
The perfect accessory - easy and quick to install. The vise is made of die-cast zinc and has three machined sides. The grooved base fits perfectly the adjustable fence of either Drill Stand MB 140/S or Drill Press TBM 115. The jaws are 2" (50 mm) wide and 25/64" (10 mm) high and provide horizontal and vertical V-slots for holding round work pieces, too. The maximum clamping width is 1 11/32" (34 mm). The anvil top with a cast-in hole is optimal for supporting small and fine parts when drilling.

The KT 70
Compound Table is made from surface-treated aluminum, has three
longitudinal T-slots and provides dual axis (lateral and cross)
positioning via two hand wheels. The hand wheels have zero-resettable
dials graduated in .05 mm increments (one complete revolution of the
hand wheel = 1mm, 1 pitch line = .05 mm feed). Two sets of step clamps
are included.
Other technical data:
Table size is 7-7/8" x 2-3/4" (200 x 70 mm), with 3 T-slots in size
15/32" x 15/64" x 13/64" (12 x 6 x 5 mm), distance from
